The saddest day in rock en español llegó
teleradio donoso (my favorite rock/pop/indie banda) announces their breakup:
Queremos contarles que Teleradio Donoso termina sus actividades indefinidamente. Puede sonar como una sorpresa, pero nosotros sentimos que hemos cumplido un ciclo. Lo hemos pasado muy bien y estamos orgullosos de estos años juntos, pero también estamos contentos de partir a otros proyectos más personales, que, por supuesto, no excluyen la posibilidad de colaborar juntos en el futuro.
Estamos, sobre todo, agradecidos de todas las personas que nos han ayudado durante estos años: Carlos Barros, Carlos Fonseca, Francisco Anwandter, Leo Marín, nuestros amigos en Triana -Claudius Rieth y Chalo González-, en el Sello Azul y Sello Oveja Negra-Carlos Salazar, ..Marcelo Mardones.., Loreto León, ..Gema Sirandoni..- y, por supuesto, nuestros amigos y familias. Sin ellos no hubiese existido gran parte de lo que hicimos. También los que participaron en Teleradio Donoso desde adentro: Cristóbal Fredes, Marcos Meza, Nacho Aedo (y antes Rafael Casanova, Simón Cox y Francisco Vargas); todos ellos fueron parte esencial a la música del grupo. Y nuestros amigos que trabajaron en la parte audiovisual: Francisco Anwandter, Ignacio Rojas y Christopher Murray, Diego Adrián, Paulina Giustinianovich, Pablo Núñez quienes hicieron los videos y fotos que formaron parte de nuestro trabajo.
Finalmente, lo más importante, queremos agradecer a toda la gente que nos escuchó, nuestros amigos y fans. Ojalá que se queden, como nosotros, no con la falta del grupo sino con la música que hicimos y con el recuerdo de haberlo pasado bien juntos. También nos gustaría hacer una mención especial a nuestro club de fans, que nos acompañó desde el principio, ayudándonos y apoyándonos siempre.
Nos despedimos con un abrazo y esperamos verlos a todos pronto.

Música: Empowerment.
I am a life long musician coming from a family of musicians...It always happily surprises me how great music can be empowering, can make me smile, can make me re/instill passion.
I was watching Telehit the other day and I saw this [I hate that this word is overused, but...] eclectic, simple simple music, but it was charming...the band "Hello Seahorse!"...they made me smile without me realizing it until the last chord was strummed...Upon googling 'em [What ever happened to altavista, ask punto com, and all those search engines?], I ran into this amazing blog that weblogs amazing [word count: II] music from "Latin America"....Go out and there check it.
...I already found a band that makes me smile. It's not loud, it's not overtly revolutionary...I enjoy its quiet simplicity. It's very much journal-writing music, hammack laying one...
